Your most admired woman of all time?
It will be International Women's Day on Sunday, so to mark the occasion a WHO poll is required on the women most admired
- not on the basis of sexual arousal, nor (if different) one of our own like Nursey.

This could turn into International Misogynists' Day of course: I know the risks.

Anyway, for me it's Florence Nightingale.

Grace Kelly for being beautiful and for appearing in two of my favourite Hitchcock movies Dial M For Murder and Rear Window. Tragic loss at just 52 :-(

@ bruuuno

I am so with you on this (and also on any woman who served or was called for duty during WWII).

My mum would have been 94 last month, She was one of a two-women morse-radio team at SOE during the last three years of the war. Her partner, who is my sister's godmother, was awarded the Legion d'Honneur last year. My mum, if alive, would have also have received it, too. Those two women, and other teams, were the SOE's contact point with the many resistance groups and individuals in France, particularly in the later stages of the war after the landings.

After the war. my mother travelled many times to Arles in France, the sector where the agents she worked with came from. She spent many happy times there in the 50's and 60's, meeting those she would have exchanged code with. She lost a fair few too, some of them 'live on air' - simply because that was the moment when the 'listeners' would find their prey. My mum's partner still cannot recount the events of anything when they lost someone 'live' and the radio would go dead....or worse, a German morse operator would start to gloat - I think it scarred them for life. However, one of my mum's happiest encounters in France occurred in the 70's when she met a Resistance leader she thought had died at the hands of the Gestapo, caught "live" but a survivor through the torture and tribulations that followed,

I lay my hat down for any woman, at any time in any country, who has undergone the sacrifice of war. My mother said that no one of her age said "No" - they all went to war as best as they could alongside their men - be it bomb-maker, aircraft-manufacturer, ration-cook or Home Guard.

Bless them all.

I don't admire women. I get the good ones to work for me and I envy those for whom I have to work, on the rare occasions that happens.

I'm proper old school

Kate Perry for showing us what a great pair of squeezers she has and a pleasant lunge. Maybe international women’s day we could see her licking baby spice’s furry purse.
